Oh, the things you can do!

Thursday, June 21st, 2007

Oh, the things you can do
With accounts from Yahoo!
You can show off your photos
And find things to do.
You can check all your emails
And search the web, too.
You can find a nice restaurant,
Have dinner for two;
To help with your choice
You can read a review.
Get some driving directions;
No one’s smarter than you!
Oh, the things you can do
With accounts from Yahoo!

Google Talk Riddle 3: Antidote

Thursday, March 8th, 2007

The Google Talk Riddle for today is a classic:

My first doth affliction denote,
Which my second is destin’d to feel;
And my whole is the best antidote
That affliction to soften and heal.

I can’t make this stuff up.

The riddle was posted at 13:00. A few of you used the resources of Google and the like to find the answer, so you don’t win.

The correct answer came from my friend Justin at 18:42: “Woman.”

I picked up this riddle from Emma by Jane Austen.

A Poem for Jessica Sandlin

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

A poem for Jessica Sandlin, upon creating a Facebook account and adding me as a friend.

She sings,
And brings
A bright
Delight-
-ful smile
With style
And grace.

I am exposed,
frozen cold,
with fear of
a rejection.

I think it is
impossible;
always felt
improbable.

But what do I
know? Onward!
